CIGRE Iran SC C1 The 3rd meeting

The third meeting of System Development and Economics Study Committee of CIGRE Iran was held on 24th Sep. 2024 from 14:00 to 16:00 at CIGRE Iran Secretariat - Monenco Iran Co. with the presence of the main members and the chairman and secretary of the committee. The Agenda of this meeting was as follows:
1- Presenting the proposals discussed in the previous meeting by the proposers.
2- Review and exchange members' opinions regarding the proposed working groups.
3- Presenting Ms. Ranjbar's explanations regarding the WIE committee.
4- Presenting the suggestion of the committee chairman regarding conducting consultation for the conclusion of the committee's cooperation agreements with the relevant institutions.
5- Summary and conclusion of the meeting.
At first, Dr. Asadzadeh presented a suggestion regarding the energy exchange plan with the neighboring countries and transmission capacity development for the industries of the areas in the neighboring countries, regardless of the comprehensive development of the national electricity grid. Also, Dr. Mohseni explained about the proposals presented by him in the previous meeting. Eng. Ranjbar gave some explanations regarding her introduction and membership as the representative of Cigre Iran in the International Cigre Women Committee (WIE). In the following, Dr. Siahkali proposed the comprehensive studies of the power grid with the presence of large renewable resources, especially wind and solar and Dr. Mohseni explained the study background of the Iran Grid Management Company (IGMC) in this field. At the end, the chairman of the committee proposed the conclusion of memorandums of cooperation between the committee and government institutions as well as companies and research institutions. In the above cases, it was decided to follow up preparation of the final format of the proposals and approve them in the committee to form the working groups, as well as interact with relevant institutions for cooperation. Also, the number of ten membership certificates of the members who had sent their complete information to the committee were handed over to the members.
