It was decided that this suggestion would also be given to CIGRE Iran.

Mr. Siahkali expressed his views on macro-policymaking and government incentives to attract investment in the development of renewable energy resources and the challenges associated with it. Then, Mr. Mohseni stated some projects are currently underway in the three fields of network technical requirements to increase the penetration rate of renewable generation resources, developing a grid code for these resources, and monitoring renewable power plants. Since the Niroo Research Institute also has a general project underway for the challenges of planning and operation caused by integration of renewable generation resources, Mr. Mohseni announced his readiness to coordinate these activities and prevent duplicate activities.

Considering the decision of the previous meeting to participate in the 765 kV grid macro-plan for Iran, the following decisions were made:

A - The committee’s readiness to be officially announced by a letter to the respected project executor at Tavanir Company.

B - Before the committee representatives attend the meeting, a justification report about the necessity of implementing the plan and expressing its various technical, economic, operational and executive views and aspects should be prepared by the volunteer members so that they can participate in the meeting with readiness.

It was decided that the volunteer members should declare their readiness to prepare the justification report.

The chairman of the committee announced that at the annual alumni gathering of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Amirkabir University on the 19th Nov., the suggestion for interaction and cooperation between the C1 Committee and the Alumni Council was raised. In this regard, it was decided to open the chapter of scientific cooperation and interaction between the committee and this institution by sending a letter.

The secretary of the committee suggested that in each monthly meeting of the committee, one of the current topics in power engineering studies in the world, preferably from new resources of CIGRE to be presented. If the members agree on this issue, planning for future meetings of the committee will be done.
