The seventh meeting of the System Development and Economics Study Committee of CIGRE Iran was held on Jan. 21st 2025 from 14:00 to 16:00 at Cigre Iran Secretariat - Monenco Iran Co. with the presence of the main members and the chairman and secretary of the committee. The agenda of this meeting was as follows:

1- Review and exchange of views on the 765 kV national transmission network plan with the presence of the plan manager from Tavanir Company.

2- Launching the first studies of the committee working group in the new period.

3- Committee news in the past month.

4- Summary and conclusions of the meeting.

First, Mr. Arab Sadeq, the plan manager of the 765 kV Tavanir transmission network plan, was introduced as a new member of the committee, and then the plan was discussed in detail. Given the importance of the issue, it was decided that after holding the meeting at Tavanir Company, an extraordinary meeting of the committee would be held in this regard and the committee's participation in this plan would be reviewed.

The working group's proposal "Private Sector Cooperation in Construction of Steam Part of Combined Cycle Power Plants" was approved in this meeting and signed by the working group convenor and the chairman and secretary of the committee.

Finally, the most important news and events of the committee in the past month were reported to the members, the most important of which was the formation of the CIGRE Iran NGN (Next Generation Network) committee, corresponding to the CIGRE International NGN committee.
